Minnesota Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

If you have a small business and think that you may need to reorganize one option is a chapter 11 bankruptcy. This type of bankruptcy allows you to continue to run your business as the debtor in possession (DIP) while you work with your creditors to find a reasonable way to pay them back. Chapter 11 is not a good option for every small business, and in many cases you are better off working with your creditors outside of a chapter 11 context before you actually file the chapter 11 paperwork. Once you file your bankruptcy you will need to get the courts permission for many of your basic business needs. Our firm works with you and your creditors to figure a way to keep you in business, while providing some relief from your obligations.
